Nice place, all the basic equipment needed. Trans friendly private bathrooms rather than locker rooms. Trans friendly and supportive management. Members are eclectic, blue collar to professional, cops to stay at home moms, vets to hipsters. I've had some uncomfortable encounters in the evenings, and recommend other transwomen visit during staffed hours during the day. I've seen some transmen there at different times, but haven't spoken with them. The early morning crowd (starting about 2 am) is generally pretty blue collar. Around 6 to 7 it starts switching over to more service type workers (office, retail, education, etc.) By 8 or 9 it's more white collar or stay at home types through the early afternoon. The after work workout crowd starts around 3 pm. Around 7 to 10 pm it's younger people/students mostly. Some can be a little rowdy. 10 pm to 2 or 3 am is light traffic. Mostly people who want to work out alone or some second/swing shifters. Some Trans people frequent in those hours, but not necessarily regularly. Amherst police are members and frequent the gym, but don't generally advertise their presence while they work out. Marked cruisers check the building and parking lot periodically through the night as part of their patrol routes. A fair number of veterans workout regularly. Pogs to former operators, they generally keep to themselves. You'll occasionally see some UDT's, Ranger panties or silkies, but not often. The gym offers classes, and has a projector available with various recorded workouts for newbies or those looking to try something new.
Very disappointed with this location. At first the owner and manager seemed friendly and happy that I was visiting their location as my main anytime fitness gym was in Hooksett. They welcomed me in and I enjoyed their gym. That being said, the manager Jon at the Amherst location explained to me that I was eligible for a transfer from Hooksett to Amherst, but that it was more expensive than what I was currently paying and they were not going to honor my cheaper pricing. I politely declined the offer as I was not interested in paying more to make Amherst my main location and was told that I would therefore be locked out from ever visiting the Amherst location again. I can understand that Amherst is not generating direct revenue from me, but locking me out of the location solely because I wouldn't buy into their more expensive rate seems childish to me. It's not like I'm costing them expenses, or preventing their customers from using equipment. If Amherst doesn't see the value in a customer focused business plan, then even if my situation changes in the future, this isn't a franchise location I plan on giving my business or even recommend.
Amherst location. Excellent training department and management; they really care about the members. Open 24/7, no crowds. Cool online application helps you track and manage your results!
Excellent trainer's who will work to motivate you to build yourself into a better person. Always clean, excellent like new equipment that is well maintained. Membership is well worth it and pt is a great way to focus your exercise goals. Staff are very flexible and willing to work with you about everything.

Awesome location, superior fitness/personal training staff especially Bethany. Genuine concern and interest in helping their clients reach their goals. Highly recommend to anyone who is serious about getting healthy. This is the place to be!!!
